Poster Printing Services

The development of high-quality printing seemed to have great promise for color poster printing. As recently as six months ago, I figured that – with an investment of a couple hundred dollars for a high-quality printer, I could print basically anything I wanted at home. After all, the demos did make the quality look good. What I discovered, however, was that technology had not gone as far as I had thought. Unless you have room and money to buy an archival quality printer, poster printing services still make a lot of sense. Whether you are making short run posters to put up around town to flier for events, or high-quality art prints to sell at a gallery, poster printing services will give you a much better result than doing it yourself.

Of course, not all poster printing services are the same. The problem is that, theoretically, anyone with a computer and a decent printer can run a poster printing service. Some of these places run prints that are not much better than what you can do on your own home computer. It will not last for years, and will fade quickly in the sun. If you go to a printing poster service, ask if what they do is archival quality. Then ask to see a portfolio of their work. Respectable poster printing services will gladly show you a portfolio, and if they have been in the business for any length of time, the stuff they have to show will likely be impressive. If you aren't thrilled by the jobs they do, by all means find someone else to do it. After all, there are always plenty of choices for this type of service. If you aren't satisfied with what they have done for someone else, you won't be happy with what they do for you.
